As you know, we on the Mississippi Gulf Coast have experienced the most devastating natural disaster this country has seen. While the level of damage cannot be described, I can tell you that I have seen the height of generosity, kindness and compassion in the wake of the tragedy. For all who have given so kindly, in tangibles or prayers, we are forever grateful.

I would be remiss if I neglected to mention the proud, patriotic and stubborn spirit of the People of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We are rebuilding.
